A big turnaround for the day... But nothing has changed in Russia, Japan, Latin America, Etc... This is an attempt at a rally in the context of a BEAR market... Even with the turnaround today, the market still has one of the biggest weekly point loses ever...

Sounds like pre-holiday manipulation by the powers that be. Such movements are becoming very common however and predictable. Huge drops of 100+ points followed by power surges to the upside. I think Greenspan once said that he did not mind stock market declines, as long as they were orderly...

Leaving for Las Vegas for the holiday. Better luck on the black jack table than on long puts...
