El, Just got off the golf course. Had my QUOTETREK with me and was at the 14th hole at 3:40 when CPQ began its recovery. It ended up breaking even and I ended up with a spectacular (for me) 3 out of the last 4 holes par. CPQ is a GREAT stock to own and starting soon (next week or so) it will begin to pay off BIG TIME. Some of my thinkings: (1) CPQ is coming into ITS season (2) I believe we will see better than expected earnings in THIS qtr as a result of the (a) Radio Shack deal and (b)retailers (look at their recent statements (3) Look for GREAT (although reserved) forward looking statements upon earnings release (4) Lucy's IMPACT time is coming and she will make us proud (5) There are no more 3 day weekends for awhile Possible downsides: (1) Clinton gets more than clobbered by the STARR report and Democrat's reactions, (2) Latin America (specifically Brazil and Argebntina) becomes a REAL problem (3) China (Hong Kong) readjusts its US $ peg (4) FAR MORE than expected 3rd qtr disappointments FWIW , IMHO, All-in-all CPQ is staged for a SOARING !!
