I usually follow the futures(currently Dec98 gold is the most traded contract) but Kaplan uses spot in his daily updates which is where I got the $270.50 numberhttp://www.investor1.com/writers/kaplan/index.asp. Kitco "spot" has been on the blink recently. BTW....Kaplan called the rally to the minute...on Monday, as I recall.

FWIW, XAU brushed 48 which was an all time low on Monday. If you are playing gold rise using stock/options there are several ways to play. The big caps get the money first, then the small caps as the gold price rises. The higher cost producers have more leverage as POG increases. George Cole can fill in the details. Bottom line, there are several entry points as POG rises.
