DD, Take a lookat the charts for some "market leader" stocks for the last hour of trading on Friday.

LU up from 72 1/4 to 75 1/4
DELL up from 104 3/4 to 109 1/2
CSCO up from 86 7/8 to 89 1/4
T up from 52 1/2 to 53 1/4
IBM up from 117 to 119 3/8

Only one of the majors that I checked that did not move up strongly
in the last half hour was MSFT. I am sure that Greenspan helped calm the market, but he also accelerated the long weekend sell-off/buyback cycle by doing so.
