That is my hunch as well; such an up move could suck a lot of air from all the folks long Sep index puts; and the market could go sideways or up till option expiration and then big down. (this would play out in absence of any bearish news)

Bill - If that afternoon rally had started 1/2 hr sooner you would have hit it right on, plus Tues AM will get it up there (barring neg news).
