Jack,
Thanks for that interesting post! We may have seen the bottom on oil.
There was a lot of disruption this past week and inventories are beginning to reflect it. Its still to early to tell for sure, though.
Will post any info I get, but the holiday has pretty well screwed up my chances of getting any news.

Thanks for the commentary from the Economist. There are so many wildcards on the international scene today that it's like playing five card stud with too many "tells" around the table. Hard to decide which cues are relevant and which are spurious. In any case, I certainly hope that oil prices float back up to a more reasonable level for the industry.

Regarding Zeev's prediction of HEC falling below $3.00 per share for good... I continue to doubt this scenario. The Islero #1 has an excellent change of being a major discovery. The existing discoveries are enough to make the current price for the stock appear cheap. We'll see.
