Larry, <OT>

I think a CD-Recorder is a fantastic idea. This way, instead of sticking
a bunch of paper pictures on the fridge, you can cover the fridge with CDs (which
are stackable, as well).

Just imagine the fun family and friends can have, guessing what images are held on
those shiny disks.

Precisely!!! No, but seriously, for long term storage CD's are a great choice for your pictures. How many times do we hear about floods destroying entire lives. Well CD's would survive that. I'm not talking about a complete replacement of _ALL_ paper photos, just an "archive" if you will.

I mean in 40 years we should have "digital" paper anyway.

PS: Are you telling us Polaroid is a short?

If they don't get into digital at all, certainly they are a long-term short. Digital cameras are really starting to catch on these days.
