Lawrence I see by your "profile" you're at Harvard. I was actually an "officer" of the Harvard Corporation for four years - with that magic pass to get into the Harvard Club to the horrible lunch - in times past. What are you taking you're PhD in?

To answer your question really, in my heart,I am usually happy person. I don't beat my dog. Hit my wife. Go into the woods and ravage trees with my chain saw. I guess I am just somewhat a tocuh gloomy because, amongst other things, I have come to the conclusion that there are probably in the midst of the rubble piling up around us.... probably 20 Nick Leeson's out there burrowing into masrony of the world's financial fabric.

We will soon know who they are. Their names. Crimes. Malefactions. And addresses.

At this point we are in ignorant bliss.

I am more worried than angry.

Actually, I am deeply worried.

The rubber hits the road here...in places that were formerly nice countries to live there is now terror....we are lookoing at the total shambles of societies like Malaya where Stitch and Bernie live. I have this sinking feeling that things are not going to get better Lawrence.

Kam. A Chinese name. Canton. 1947. Shanghai 1948. Ask your father or grandfather whether history is static?

We are in the gale. It is a force 5 wind rising towards what?

My best to you,

Clark
