Osicom Reports Second Quarter
Results, New GigaMux Sales
Company's Metro DWDM Solution Wins Two New US Customers

Gigamux Sales

Osicom President Xin Cheng announced the completion of two key GigaMux sales. ''Within the past two weeks,'' said Cheng, ''we have received from two US based customers, purchase orders totaling $557,000 for GigaMux systems. In one instance, the GigaMux application responds to an exhaustion of fiber-optic capacity over a single point-to-point link connecting two points of presence in the downtown area of a major US city. As such, we think it is a good example of how DWDM will be relied upon with greater and greater frequency as customer demands for bandwidth increase in US, Europe and other markets.'' The Company plans to issue comprehensive press releases on both installations in the near future.

Transmission Proucts/GigaMux

Osicom's Gorman commented upon the current number and status of the Company's potential customers for GigaMux. ''While the sales cycle for GigaMux is at times quite lengthy, evaluator feedback has been very encouraging,'' said Gorman, ''Since I spoke with shareholders on July 28th,10 new potential customers have begun to consider or evaluate the GigaMux, thereby bringing the number of total evaluators to 51. Of these 51 evaluators, 12 are in Phase I, 23 are in Phase II, and
16 are in Phase III. So, while revenue growth has been slow, we have clear indications that our hard work and patience are beginning to yield results.''

President Cheng commented, ''Our commitment is to turn state-of-art technologies into products which can solve our customer's business problems. In the case of GigaMux, for example, we offer technology allowing users to obtain additional bandwidth immediately and at lower cost. As we have said before, we estimate that our product development and delivery status leads our competitors by six months, and we have used that lead time to penetrate our target market. Feedback from our
customers after numerous field trials indicate that GigaMux fits their daily applications and meets their business needs. While we are continuing to place greater sales and marketing resources into
expanding our customer base and enhancing acceptance of our products, we are also moving aggressively into the next generation of DWDM technology.''

Hey, Scott - Grant is probably considering getting back in to FIBR. Good questions on the CC. I listened in, but they answered my questions before time to ask, so I let it go. I felt so positive about it that I bought some more.
