E, I firmly agree with you about the organizations of man. In my viewpoint the heart of man, not his affiliations makes him what he is. Allow me to update my story on this point. As a youngster, being a Catholic was in name only. It served to introduce me to God. I did not return to the Catholic church. At the time of my conversion, that bible was the only one I had. I currently belong to a local church populated largely by ex-catholics, ex-methodists, ex-baptists and others who share similar experiences as my own. Regardless, I do believe that in every denomination of Christianity there are those who are true believers. The remainder of them are pretenders -- I remember being one. There are Christians, (like the ones I met in 1975) who have no formal affiliations. I certainly cannot always determine who is who. How much less should I expect the world to determine this? In their mind, all who use the name are cut of the same fabric. Even the term "Christian" has been broadened to encompass secular points of view never originally intended. Any garden that grew for two thousand years would be jammed with weeds. It is easier for weeds to grow than tomatoes. Further, there is certainly more of an reason for a wolf to disguise himself as a sheep and then join the sheep than there is for a sheep to disguise himself as a wolf and then join the wolves! It is clear to me to see which of the two is more inclined to invade the other. By nature, malice can only come from one of them. It is the same with those who have perpetrated any evil in the name of Christ. They're wolves -- even monsters. They could not be sheep. Therefore, their disguise has been so good that even the best of the world couldn't see through it, or . . . Stan
