Thank you Zolt for digging up that article on Bush's fictional affair. When I informed DougHboy that it was a rumor based on a footnote in a book, that Stone Phillips asked Bush about it in the Oval Office in 1992, and that it died because it wasn't true, he responded by telling me I didn't know what I was talking about.

I guess I'll just have to await an apology.

Zoltan, Re: Bush affair,

Why dont you make this post on the Clinton Corruption thread where Doughboy can see it. All along, I said that all I knew about this affair (alleged affair, whatever) was some articles about the woman in the Dallas morning news which kept up on Bush's personal life. Also Jennifer was probably from Dallas? Doughboy seems to have some inside knowledge of this and how it was handled in the media - it sure looks like there was something there, maybe they just went on a double date with the Quayles once?

Anyway I dont care whether he had an affair or not, I like Bush generally and this would have no bearing on what I think of him as a president (this in contrast to Clinton who definitely executed bad judgement with regards to his sex life).

The fact that you guys feel the need to deny this so vehemently makes me wonder about you.

Michelle

Oops, my mistake, this is the Clinton Corruption thread.

I forgot I made a guest appearance here a few days ago in a sort of tribute to flagelation after watching a show on the Crusades on the History Channel.

OK, gotta go, busy reviewing all that churning going on in my Hedge Fund!
