No, that's not how it works. The 30 day trial is good on both the monthly or annual bill plans. All of the fees to DBC will be refunded during the trial except exchanges fees. Here is the FAQ link on this:

By signing up on the annual plan you will get big discounts. The monthly fee is reduced $20 and the monthly level II fee of $50 is reduced to zero. Customer still has to pay the exchanges fees. So a customer who wants L2 saves $70 per month on the annual plan.

Hope that helps. If not, ask. Some brokers are offering it for $20 less per month plus will reduce it further (some all the way to $0) if you are an active trader through them. If your broker doesn't offer our Online products have them contact us and we'll see what we can do.
