( BW)(TSI-TELSYS)(TSI.) TSI TelSys Enters Military Space Market with $1.6 Million in New Orders

Business Editors

COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1998--TelSys (Montreal Exchange: TSI) today announced orders for the Company's new Jaguar telemetry systems totaling US$1.6 million, which are also TSI TelSys' first orders coming from the US military space market.
"These orders mark TSI TelSys' first penetration of the substantial military space market," said Jay Pisula, TSI TelSys Corporation's President and Chief Executive Officer.
"The military space market's requirements for high performance, real-time telemetry processing is a perfect fit for our technology and knowledge base.
"We're especially pleased to receive these orders because membership in the tightly-knit defense and intelligence community doesn't come easily.
"As part of our focused growth strategy, we have taken a number of actions to address this market, including, as previously announced on November 2, 1998, the addition of two new board members to the Company's operating subsidiary who have strong linkages to the intelligence community and the government market. This very significant breakthrough is a continuation of our implementation of this strategy."
TSI TelSys' Jaguar telemetry system is based on Silicon Graphic Inc.'s Model O200 workstation. The Jaguar both acquires and simulates multiple channels of satellite CCSDS and TDM telemetry data at rates up to 160 million bits per second (Mbps).
"An additional element of our strategy is to provide complete solutions that can leverage the great depth of TSI TelSys' engineering experience." added TSI TelSys, Inc.'s Vice President of Sales, Chuck Kozlowski.
"We provide products and services, such as test and simulation systems, that satisfy the developmental needs of our customers early on, for example. By selling these systems and services early in their development cycle, TSI TelSys has the great advantage of being the 'incumbent' supplier when the customer's operational needs start growing."
Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, TSI TelSys is the premier developer and manufacturer of high performance, multi-mission satellite data processing systems for ground station operations and satellite test and integration.
Except for historical information contained herein, the matters discussed in this press release contain forward looking statements that, due to uncertainties, may differ materially from actual results.

TSI Software Advances Leadership in Business-to-Business Commerce with Next Generation Integration Broker

Lufthansa AirPlus Spin-Off Selects TSI Software for Industry's Leading XML Transformation Capabilities for New Electronic Marketplace

WILTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1999-- TSI International Software Ltd. (NASDAQ:TSFW - news), a leading provider of eBusiness and enterprise application integration (EAI) software, today announced that it has combined its Mercator integration broker software with its Novera Web application integration product to deliver a next-generation B2B integration broker. As the first new offering from the recent acquisition of Novera Software, this product will provide TSI Software's customers with the industry's most comprehensive capabilities, including XML integration and transformation, for deploying complex B2B integration solutions quickly, easily and cost-effectively. Customers will be able to Internet-enable any application by exposing and transforming existing business process interfaces as XML messages to trading partners over public and private networks and leverage their existing IT infrastructure in new B2B e-commerce initiatives.

``The networked economy is rapidly creating a global trading Web, consisting of dynamically interconnected enterprises, electronic marketplaces, and ASP-hosted services,' said Connie Galley, president and CEO of TSI Software. ``Leveraging TSI Software's deep expertise in Internet standards and strengths in integrating heterogeneous systems across any network, our goal is to become the dominant provider of B2B integration software in this new landscape.'

TSI Software Provides Seamless Integration between XML and Existing IT Infrastructure

XML and standard Internet protocols facilitate the widespread integration of business processes between trading partners by providing an interface for exposing existing information systems and business processes across corporate boundaries. In order to achieve true eBusiness integration however, enterprises must be able to seamlessly integrate application content between XML interfaces and existing business applications, without major IT development effort.

Mercator provides this link as a natural extension of its many-to-many data transformation capabilities. Using Mercator, customers are able to transform directly between XML schemas and schemas for any new and legacy supported content type, including EDI, CII, S.W.I.F.T., HL7, ACORD, SAP, PeopleSoft and RDBMS. Mercator provides the tools for extending the integration of applications and business processes to trading partners using XML, while protecting IT investment in existing information systems. Mercator's XML support, coupled with Novera for hosting component-based server applications for the Internet, enables eBusinesses to integrate complex business processes with trading partners over public and private networks.

The B2B integration broker will be the first combined deliverable from TSI Software's acquisition of Novera. In addition to providing capabilities for Internet-enabling commerce applications, it will provide comprehensive support for end-to-end management of B2B integration processes, support a rich set of B2B standards and enable simplified B2B technology transition. This will allow customers to easily deploy solutions for complex B2B integration scenarios, such as integrating XML-based procurement applications with EDI-based order processing systems, or exposing manufacturing/order/shipping status information from ERP systems to customers as XML documents.

Lufthansa AirPlus Spin-Off Selects Mercator for Proven XML Integration and Transformation

The strength of TSI Software's capabilities for B2B integration led to the selection of Mercator by Seals GmbH, a Germany-based application service provider in the B2B area, as its eBusiness integration broker for an innovative service for corporate customers. Seals was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of Lufthansa AirPlus, a company providing a wide range of business travel management and procurement services to corporate customers, including many of the largest companies in Europe. Seals offers a browser-based B2B e-commerce service, acting as a clearing-house for a wide range of transactions between enterprises. Seals has chosen Mercator as its integration broker to handle complex XML-to-any transformation and routing. The first service, InvoiceXchange, allows Seals' corporate customers to present their invoices through a Web-based service that delivers data electronically to their clients, and through the use of Mercator, in any format the client has specified. In the AirPlus case, invoices from travel agents, hotels, car rental agencies and other suppliers to AirPlus corporate customers are consolidated at AirPlus and delivered over the Internet through Seals.

``To quickly deliver innovative online invoicing services for our business customers, we need an integration architecture that supports the broadest possible set of applications, integration scenarios and B2B message formats,' said Marcus Laube, CEO of Seals. ``Mercator's powerful integration capabilities allow us to provide more customized service to our clients, respond quickly to new requirements for specific message formats or changes to our databases, and to integrate XML with any message format required by our clients, including SAP(TM) IDocs and EDI.'
