Divvie,

It looks like at least the other guy (Hickey) frequented this board quite often. Papa Bill has another board on SI, but I don't go there.

He is a pretty smart guy, but his call on DELL is ridiculous, to say the least. Anyone with any pride probably will have had his mouth wide shut forever if his prediction has gone wrong for over 3000% within a mere three year period of time. Well, at least we should laud his courage.

I am not the person who first used the world 'papa bill'. That's what people on Wall Street call him. I was talking with two Wall street analysts this morning and the first question they raised was: ' Look who is talking again on the Bearons today? It's papa Bill!".

Bill's interview on Bearons were always conducted by the same person, Kathryn Welling, who is a most active person whenever the market dips sharply. When the bull market rallys to new high, she basically goes hibernation...

Also I believe that in order for 'Bearons' to be neutral (well, maybe not since they are Bearons), at least they need to provide some background and past history on the interviewee. Papa did not have a great record in the past, otherwise he would not have lost his job in the Street.

larry!
