Hey, it's the gold monitor thread -g- ..... If you could use the ringgit as the base to plot the price of gold (you can't, the ringgit doesn't show up there as a base currency), the PoG would look like it's on its way to Pluto.

Malaysia just announced currency controls. Now, if I was a Malaysian, I would see that as a sign from God saying 'Buy Gold'.

A 150-year graph of the peso against gold would be dramatic - there was a time when the word 'peso' defined 'one ounce of silver' - the very word is derived from the verb 'pesar' - 'to weigh, to be weighty'.

of course I am guessing but my guess is that you have picked exactly the chart we should keep on eying to see if this is the bottom..in a bull move..gold should move against all currencies..
sort of ironic because why is the swiss franc deemed a safe haven currency :-)
