Ira, The iMac is a great marketing idea but its been done before. A lot of PC companies had an all in one computer with the monitor built in. As far as I can tell all of them dropped those designs. The 17" monitor is practically the new minimum standard, I wouldn't want a built in 15" monitor. Their timing is good for the back to school selling season though. I use a PC but if I were to buy a Mac it would be a G3 with a large monitor. I'm not bashing Apple though, I think it was smart of them to become proprietary again to keep their margins higher or they would be in the middle of the price war the PC companies are going through.
