When you were a child did you ever play telephone? Everyone sits in a circle and someone whispers a phrase into the next person's ear.
It goes around the room and when the last person announces what the message was, it always bears little resemblance to the original
message. Reading these messages reminds me of that.

I also thought Bob sounded very down hearted. I wonder if the
amount of things in which he is wrong is now overwhelming him?
If you can possibly get a hold of a Barron's read P.36 (read the whole paper if you have time). It details the absurd valuations
even now, in the Nifty tech stocks. "In semi equipment you have Applied Materials defying gravity....(semi's)are nearly as high as they were in '95, at the equipment market's peak.... (It's) trading
at about EIGHT TIMES annualized sales.

Bob appears to have bought at approx. 32 and it popped higher, leading him to crow about his buy that weekend. But once it started down he
he added, you should just buy a little at a time. Someone a while back asked if he still was holding STII. Yes. Well it is down to
8+ from 26. Utek? You know about that.

So if Bob sounded down, he has plenty of reason. I just hope it
is just the market and nothing more serious.

>>One more thing, by the way, has anyone considered that BB may steadfastly hold to his
bullish view through continued declines, just as the permabears he ridiculed so long did
through the bull market.<<

yes. the only thing worse would be to become a bad news bear and have the market rocket up!!!! ;-)

oh, and btw, as this market declines (yes their will be rallies) more and more bears will be proved right over the long term. it may be that bob will be left holding the bag. the empty bag. he may be prove to curse himself by cursing those better than himself..

Just remember when referring to Acampora's call that even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Bob has been right for years. There is no comparison.
