By the way, the name "Verdine" could very well be a transformation of the name "Vardi", quite an acceptable Hebrew name (meaning a "rose" and a rose by any other name... is still "pinkish", so there is a danger that he'll claim descendence from communist Jewry), but do not tell him that because he'll attempt to take a short cut to Judaism through name transformation, and we do not want that to happen.
