CIO's can no longer justify their "head-in-the-sand" attitude about ODBMS technology. Every company has, and has had for years, the same need that Dell is solving with Objectstore. With only a $140M base, I really see the market growth exponential in the next several years--beginning in 1998. RDBMS technology is an inhibitor to optimizing application efficiency in the intranet and internet space towards which all companies are rapidly moving. I've said before how it amazes me that the valuations of the "plumbing" vendors have not been recognized while portals go wild.

Damien,

This DELL contract has already helped ODIS's stockprice! While you were off, skiing in the countryside, ODIS jumped by 20% in the single session of Wednesday 2, Sept. And did you notice Friday's volume? Over 455,000!! I think that tomorrow ODIS will break through the $7.00 mark.
Do you have info about this car radio/AutoPC partnership? When shall we get a PR or something?

Edward,

Regarding MSFT's appetite for ODIS... maybe they're too busy squabbling with the DoJ at the moment. On the other hand, ODIS people are showing the world they can do it on their own: after all, where's the threat coming from?
This whole thing is becoming really sad for VSNT shareholders: ODIS is the living proof that ODBMS has a (bright) future. Mainstream corporate icons such as DELL Computers start endorsing the technology, and remember that ODIS's European chief (O'Brian?) predicted a boom in Europe for ODBMSs. Yet only ODIS seems to benefit from that boom.
The next stage for ODIS will be to get the Fortune 50, that is Coca-Cola, General Motors, Citicorp and the like...
