<<Bob (while positive on the market) is not pounding the table at all. That was my point and I don't think how there can be any disagreement on this issue. One has to ask oneself, why was he so bullish then and not so bullish now? If anything, earnings have grown since January and if the model is intact one might surmise that he would be more bullish now than back then. I have some ideas but they are pure speculation at this point. >>

Excellent point. He he was very bullish then he should love equities now.

Please speculate as to why he is not pounding the table. I would think he would be.

RE: "One caller asked if Ralph Acampora's market call could not be characterized as brilliant, but Bob did not think that description was appropriate, based on the fact that the Dow was already down in the 8400's when it was made. I would tend to agree that "brilliant" would be an exaggeration."

As I stated previously on SI, I agree with Bob on this point. Ralph missed the first 900 points and got the next 900 points correct, so far. So far, that is not what I would call brilliant. We will have to wait to see when he turns bullish and where the market moves from here to full assess his brilliance.

Best wishes,
