Re: Hedging, etc.

Thanks for the kind words Bill!

I printed out your commentary, and I have been reading it over to let it sink in. Pls rest assured I appreciate your sharing your ideas!

Right now I think that maybe it's time to start buying...so I need to make some decisions. Right now I am interested in some of the mid-tier producers such as VOY, MAE, ARZ, etc.

It seems that the presence of hedging may be a key factor in evaluating these companies. I don't know quite how to do the calculations. Would you or someone else on the thread be kind enough to show a quick calculation for the following hedging by VOY assuming they covered at current prices? Pls include the formula.

1998: 90,000 ozs.
1999: 140,000 ozs.
2000: 30,000 ozs.
(all at about US$400/oz.)

A quick & dirty back of the cocktail napkin calculation would be fine.

Thank you!!!!

Best regards,

THC

PS: Also still looking at CCM & some others in preparation to buy a basket of juniors just in case the big wave comes! Any advice?
