this is my take and play on MER: i put this out as a short term play (1-3 month +) not a position play. the earnings will be out in October ( 21rst i believe but i will confirm on tuesday). the estimates are, low of .89...medium.......1.06 and the high is...1.10. i think they will meet the # however i don't believe they will beat the #. i'm playing this stock different then osi and dell. MER is a momentum play for, my take is that we will start our rally on monday the 14th and MER will lead the way. keep in mind that alan g. most likely will lower the rates and that will be a big + for the markets. mer can and will be a very fast mover and i'm expecting it to run back up to 80 fairly fast and i would be a seller at that point.
