Emile, what does this article have to do with Zionism? Sobran is complaining because according to his counts there are more apologist then critics of Israel in the media. I am not going to try and argue that point (somehow, at least in the last ten years, I think he is wrong), the point is, he is not denied entry to Israel, nor is he prevented from writing and publishing his opinions.

As for the "media", good gosh, Id like to see few articles that are "apologist" rather then critical of Clinton, since 75% of our population still think he doing a good job, and and a sizeable minority (some 40%) consider his sexual escapades inconsequential, why is this minority not represented in "editorials". If you are going determine the "Virtues" or "Faults" of a movement like Zionism, or any movement, you should not be relying on second hand sources, and certainly not the mainstream media. Where was that Media when Eisenhauer buckled under the nuclear ultimatum of Bulganin?

Here is an excellent article by Joe Sobran. I hope to provide you with what I consider the best documented book on the origin of Zionism.

Why we few criticize Israel

Ah ha! *** Make sure you read this Evile it will "enlighten" you. ****

You are beginning to understand. Using your OWN [defective] logic, as the minority that you are, you should not be counted at all!!

I am glad, General Custer..... er... Grand Duke Vidrine, you are becoming more and more enlightened as you yourself admit to the facts.

*********** News u can use *********** take a peek.

And btw.... Here are some Louisiana stats. You might be interested in order to determine "majority status".

I noticed, that "inbreds" is not shown as an ethnic group, so I guess you are either grouped as one of the "Other Ancestries" (last line), or were not even classified.

And Now.... A little update (to July 1997)

Please notice the "Legal resident numbers (not counted as Citizens), AND the illegal aliens numbers, which at best is guess work since not many illegals will volunteer much information..... (bold is mine).

***************************************************************

1990 CENSUS DATA ON THE FOREIGN BORN

The share of the 1990 foreign born who had arrived in the country since 1980 was 38%.

Louisiana's ethnic composition was changing because of immigration. Seven of the ten largest national groups in 1990 had increased -- several substantially -- since 1980, while three had declined. The gainers were: Vietnam (+24% to 11,300), Honduras (+49% to 8,300), Cuba (+3% to 4,900), Nicaragua (+111% to 3,900), India (+112% to 3,300), Mexico (+78% to 3,200) and the Philippines (+35% to 2,300). The losers were Germany (-19% to 4,300), the U.K. (-14% to 3,700) and Canada (-14% to 2,200).

INS data indicate that the level of legal immigration over the FY'91 to FY'95 period has averaged nearly 3,900 per year. That average number ranks Louisiana 27th in the country in the number of new immigrants.

NET INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION
The Census Bureau estimates that Louisiana's population increased by 10,951 over the last year (ending in July 1997). Compared to that overall increase, net international migration accounted for an estimated increase of 2,549. Thus immigration accounted for over 23 percent of the state's population increase (that is slightly less than the national median share of population increase due to immigration).

INS ESTIMATE OF ALIENS ELIGIBLE FOR CITIZENSHIP The INS estimates that as of April 1996 there were about 47,000 legal resident aliens in Louisiana -- legal immigrants who had not yet become U.S. citizens -- of whom 27,000 had met the residency requirement to apply for citizenship. Included in this number could be aliens who had already applied for naturalization and were in the processing waiting list. The INS offices that handle naturalization cases and fingerprinting are located at:

POPULATION PROJECTION

The 1997 Census Bureau population projection has Louisiana's population growing by 18% between 1995 and 2025 (to 5,133,000). That is a lower rate of increase than the national median.

ILLEGAL RESIDENT ALIENS
The INS currently estimates the resident illegal alien population of Louisiana to be about 22,000 as of October 1996. This is up from the 18,000 that the INS estimated the illegal alien population to be in October 1992. The new estimate is the 21st highest number of illegal aliens in the United states.
