Mr. Jhild, T.O.N. is not stevia, It is the farthest thing possible from stevia that there can be. T.O.N. is sold as a DIETARY SUPPLEMENT by PUBLIC LAW 103-417 (S.784); (OCTOBER 25,1994, 21 USC 301), FDA approval is not required at all for any DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS. All DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS are controlled by the DIETARY SUPPLEMENT ,HEALTH AND EDUCATION ACT OF 1994. T.O.N is not labeled a "sweetener", The label does not say what it is at all, as required by the DSHEA OF 1994. Under the DSHEA OF 1994 LAW if the FDA was to test T.O.N they would have to do so on at there own expense. They would find the same findings as the FDA approved testing lab did labeled as the 'NUTRITIONAL FACTS' on each container After this FDA test the FDA would have to by LAW give TON a FDA approval number. This will never happen. For if they did AZNT could label TON as a 'sweetener'. Every food manufacturer in the world could then use TON with absolutely no reservations what so ever. ' Nutra Sweet' would never let this happen. It would put them right out of business and make AZNT's position so strong that AZNT could name their price and they would have no choice but to surrender to AZNT's monetary demands. Nutra Sweet is the reason why stevia was never approved in the US. Nutra Sweet told the FDA not to approve stevia. This is a fact told to AZNT by NORMAN O. JANGAARD, Ph.D. of The' NutraSweet Kelco Company' when he visited AZNT principals. Now , the stevia issue is a non-factor, only serving to demonstrate that desperate men will stick with desperate things. RB
