I think that one of the problems confronting the world economy today is that the US fed does not want to be the central bank to the world, but in fact it is. This denial by the fed has a lot to do with the mess the world economy is in. BTW only a few foreign governments seem to want to accept this either which only magnifies the problem. In any economy good money drives out bad money. In the world economy the good money is the $.
