The Japanese bank was in trouble well before the Asian financial crisis, if they need to sell dollar based assets, it will be done well before the crisis, not wait till now. Rumors are that even the currency manager , SOLOS, is now selling US dollars.A rate cut is expected by the financial market, and pretty soon.
