Mohan, thanx for your comments. The quote "if I were a DELL shareholder, I'd be very unhappy that the assets it earns are being looted" was taken from Barron's. The remainder of the comments "was particularly damaging" was all mine. The reason I feel this way is very simple. Conventional wisdom. Very few shareholders research a company properly. They rely on other people's opinions, such as the ones in Barron's. As a result, DELL's stock price may suffer in the short term due to this very narrow viewpoint.

Regarding that Barron's article Jim Kelley's comments are right on. Stock buybacks are a tax deferred dividend - even in Canada.

Re. ZD Market Intelligence this is StoreBoard and only refers to the retail channel.

With respect to DELL's 3rd quarter numbers I expect nothing less than continued strong growth and no disappointments. But, I'll be listening to comments from the Sept 25 analysts meeting to make sure everything is on track.

Regards,

Gabriel
