Lucas Educational Systems in Talks With Software Company

Templeton, CA. September 9, 1998.

Jerry Lucas, president of Lucas Educational Systems (NASDAQ BB:LEDS), announced today that he is in talks with Cendant Corporation (NYSE:CD) concerning a potential joint venture relationship between the two companies. Lucas, who has had preliminary discussions with Michael W. Belanger, products acquisition manager of new business development, plans to meet next with Cendant's president and key management.

Cendant Corporation is the world's premier marketer and provider of consumer and business services in four main areas: real estate, travel, alliance marketing, and high growth products. Cendant also operates leading consumer brands like Sierra On-Line, Davidson & Associates, and Knowledge Adventure.

Davidson & Associates is a leading publisher and distributor of multi-media education and entertainment software for both the home and school markets. Sierra On-Line is one of the original developers of PC games and is the largest worldwide publisher of interactive
entertainment, productivity and educational software. Knowledge Adventure creates educational software products that provide multi-media experiences designed to help children succeed in school.

Lucas founded Lucas Educational Systems in 1996 to produce, market and distribute the proprietary learning and memory techniques and related products that the NBA legend developed during the past 25 years. Prior to becoming a publicly-held company in November 1997, Lucas' company sold more than four million educational products.

Known as Dr. MemoryT, Lucas co-authored The Memory Book, a New York Times best seller that sold more than three million copies. The national shopping network QVC, which has negotiated exclusive electronic marketing rights to Dr. MemoryT products, will launch sales early October 1998.

Jerry Lucas Featured as Keynote Speaker at Conference of Investment Bankers

Templeton, CA. September 10, 1998.

The Regional Bankers Association (RIBA)has invited Jerry Lucas, CEO and president of Lucas Educational Systems(NASDAQ BB:LEDS) to speak at its Florida Capital Conference scheduled September 17-20, 1998 at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida.

Lucas will speak at the General Session of the Conference, Thursday, September 17 to principals from more than half of the trade associations 140 NASD-member broker/dealers. Lucas will also participate in three Q & A sessions with a select group of RIBA members.
