And when I finally got around to the front page of the LA Times, it was even worse, a HEADLINE saying that the Asian crisis had OFFICIALLY begun to impact the US. Sorry I don't have the paper with me right now, but the headline said that there was no "official" (whatever that means) impact from asia on the US economy until now. And yet another headline about economic cycles and how we seem to be in the downward part of the cycle.

Overabundance of bearish sentiment often means a bottom, but I don't think so here, too much yet to come. OTOH, Japan and China markets up sharply yesterday, maybe they see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or is it a train? European markets up as well. Could be an up day Tuesday?
