I didn't call you ignorant, I merely mentioned that ignorance is bliss -g-. Have you realized that claiming that a dow from 3000 to 9300 is not 300+%? It is, only if you put it all in at the beginning. Most mutual fund investors lose money, I have heard, because they tend to scare and withdraw money at the times when the market is lowest. Also the funds haven't all just bought the S&P. I am agnostic on the market, long term, btw. My butt is in the hole from several long positions which I am pretty sure I can recover from; if not this year, then the next. Being as I am so long it is prudent to be short in sectors of excess exhuberance. Greg
