Two things are working in ASEA and this thread has been highlighting them-
1- $ weakness will help ASEA-- go back most of my last week posts make a strong reference to this.
2- ASEA will be greatly helped by the whiping out of speculators-- the HK Monetary Authority have wiped clean the threat to the peg-- the peg would have gone if free market forces were allowed to work, the speculators who take advantage of currency/market interconnection and were playing ''double play'' were not representative of free market forces, let them make profits through normal channels thru buying and selling equities or other options. If one has a clear locked in advantage the moment he goes in the trade I don't think it is a fair play, however I wish that HK Monetary Authority after giving this bloody nose should have sold out last night..last night and present buying is based on regional change of view on prospects of US markets..and global deflationary threats- Latin America my other bet last week that will benefit from this $ weakness should also fly/
