Shero, you are wrong again: "Past history has proven you wrong. Anyone who margined (sp) his stock to ...***Better control of your finances*** Stocks over $5 are marginable. So you can handle variations in your financial situation with more control. You can borrow at 7.25% at Jack White instead of 18% on your credit card....*** Got slammed, big time. And the most notable people who acted on a belief such as you state were management. Anyway, history speaks for itself. Only you don't seem to understand."

While I don't suggest others do it, I borrowed a handily large sum of money to buy Globalstar shares at $3 [pre-split] and Techniclone shares at 78cents. Selling the TCLN at $1.50 and keeping GSTRF. You say anyone who does this gets slammed big time. Well, there is one place you are wrong. Also, companies borrow money, which is the same as using margin, to leverage [to use some jargon] their ideas and corporate skills to increase profit. Many other individuals successfully borrow money on margin for various purposes.

It is like having a spot market for money. As you probably know, financial needs in an individual's life are not smooth. They are lumpy. So being able to smooth the peaks and troughs in their money needs.

I'm sure you can understand if you spend a bit of time on it. Are you feeling bilious today again, still? I'm off to play golf on my ill-gotten gains. Have a nice day,

Maurice.
