Don,Considering most of the members here seem to be LONG TERM Gold Bulls, Is anyone here actually above water a.k.a. actually making a profit on their entire Gold investment? For someone who claims to be so knowledgeable in the investment arena, you seem to be confusing "LONG TERM Gold Bulls" with "Buy & Hold." Many of us, including me, have been in and out at what we considered the appropriate time. FYI, because of my precious metals investments tripling and quadrupling I managed to retire early (in Dec. '96). Proof? See the article that was done on me in the Nov. '97 issue of Smart Money Magazine. I am sure that I am not unique. I would figure most here are so below entry level that it will take a major upward rally in Gold to $350-400 for anyone to truly be ahead.. Many of us feel that $350-400 is not, as you say, "a major rally." It is rapidly approaching. Why? Read the posts from the knowledgeable people here that, unlike yourself, have lucid, valid arguments to support this hypothesis. Finally, I remember the turmoil that you caused on the "From The Trader's Desk" thread. You are now attempting to create the same turmoil here with your argumentative, baseless posts. The people here Have a Life - you should try to get one too. In case you forgot the "turmoil" that I referred to, above, please see the last three posts concerning you before you "disappeared:" Talk : Short-Term : From the Trading Desk Next To: Don Green (2285 ) Monday, Jan 12 1998 3:11PM ET Previous From: steve goldman Reply # of 3607 Don, Once again you diverge....gosh, you can't win the argument in front of you, you just start firing off those you think you can win. You'd make a poor politician. Most people see right through that. Don, you are trying to make a case that I aggressively promote or push my firm or my firm's services onto thread readers. I find it insulting given the time I take to answer questions on this thread and the time I spend speaking to individuals who callme with concerns about the market, their positions etc. I think most would verify that my integrity is not something you should be questioning. I thought you were going to no longer post on these threads? It's just not worth this on your great thread! Your effort speaks for itself for all that care to listen! It's not worth it! Your efforts speak for the time you spend on this thread and the effort your firm commits to the task! There is another heckler on another thread, and the more you answer them the more they waste everyones time. Its alright for one to state an opinion and go on, but to continuously harp on the subject is annoying. It seems the thread creators have been very diplomatic in addressing the problem, and from what I have read here you addressed the issue and responded accordingly. Now lets get back to Trading Desk issues and not you said this, and I said that format. TORO
