If JBuilder is so bad, what does this say about Oracle for incorporating it with their tools.

Oracle's own attempt to put together a new application development toolkit failed convincingly. They canceled the project and clearly they were not about to start from scratch on something new based on Java, 'speshly not with the same development team! They didn't have a whollotta choices back then and it made a heckuvalotta sense to team up with Borland. What they didn't realize was that instead of a new baby they were going to deliver the progamatic equivalent of an abortion.

Oracle has its own team of developers and they have not committed to Inprise tools going forward; that's very telling, IMO. Obviously Oracle is stuck with whatever Inprise gives them for now. That Oracle is using Inprise tools says very little at this point. They made a deal way back when, that's all it says.

Make no mistake about it: JBuilder is that bad.
