This is true. It is also why there is no functioning market on earth that is truly free. The US market works as well as it does because it has public and private regulators defining the point at which freedom becomes abuse. If we want world markets to work as well, similar regulations will have to be developed and enforced. What they will be, and how they will be enforced, will have to come from people far brighter than I.

The difference between a hedge fund and a typhoon is that control of a hedge fund is possible.
