Lisa... try this one on for size...

Several friends here in Canada run manufacturing plants.
They are paying 5, 6 and 7 year employees $ 8 to $ 9 per hour, and this is considered acceptable.
Note..this is $8/$9 Canadian....about $ 5 or $ 6 US$.

If as Iqbal expects, inflation takes hold in the USA, I really don't know what to expect..

This rather bothers me that in America we are always complaining about what the delivery boy makes or what the waitress makes. Why don't we complain about what the CEO makes?

You know, everybody just wants to make a decent living. They want to go to the movies, buy a burger at McDonnalds. I don't have the answer, but I cannot stand the way we always want to restrict the life style of the people at the bottom of the food chain. I mean, would you go to your boss and complain that he's paying you too much?

This is just a gripe. If I had some answers, I would mean something, but I don't. Sorry for venting.
