Gersh has another insight into the situation which is equally valid IMHO. The dialectic materialism (I think I have that right) is useful if you can unify the poles into some sense. Gersh is taking one approach in that he ties opening prices to the behavior of the dollar which works many times. All I did was count the number of days from the Oct 27 crash and came up with a strong move up. Then Clinton apologized... well sort of. And SEA looks a tad better as does Japan. Globex was up strongly... haven't checked this am.

So it is a crap shoot between approaches.
