Harry: Thanks for response. Especially interested about Acampora. Like most TA's he will wait till something has started to happen before he will predict it. By Tuesday evening he might be saying "that was the bottom" if it goes up or "that was not the bottom" if it goes down. Whatever he says he will draw his salary.

Early Monday morning here all the Asian markets up very dramatically. Bit worried that the Indonesian 25% one-day rise is as exaggerated as its recent falls, so that it might be volatile for a bit. Also a bit worried about the reliability of the HK rise, there being so much intervention there on the stock market. The recent heavy buying spree by the government means that the market will be looking over its shoulder until the govt gets rid of its holdings.

I would expect the European bourses to be positive for much of the day, with a watchful eye on the Russian elections. The weekend meeting in the UK of G8 ministers (G8 being the G7 group with the addition of Russia) is publicly non-committal but one could expect that it has developed some options which have been conveyed to Russia.

The US-Japan meetings are not widely reported yet.

There are positive first signs of stability returning to international markets: just hope that the internal power struggle in America which has decided to focus on Clinton's sexual habits, does not spoil the party for the rest of us.
