V.90 had some bugs and some K-Flex modems had problems when switched to V.90, but my ISP has fixed the problem and I am getting the fastest download speeds ever with the new standard. This is with the Motorola ModemSurfer bought from the TidalWave program. I'm happy with this modem. Just bought an HP Pentium II 350 computer at Best Buy. DVD-II; V.90 56K modem, soundcard, speakers, 8 gig disk drive, 64 meg. SDRAM, 8 meg ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2X, powered speakers, TV out for the DVD, digital camera in port; all for $1499.00 and 15 months of no interest financing! Amazing!!!!!

Curious,---Do you really obtain a faster speed going from 33.6
to 56k. I know in my area (on a reg voice line) it would be
a waste of money for me .
