Paul, I agree with your observation. It reminded me of a poem that was mentioned on the thread which was one of my favorites and it very significant when you run from the living God. Dear Paul you are so right about my bitterness. I was a victim of that same brainwashing as a child as you have been. The difference is I used the mind God gave me after his revelation to me personally where I knew the Christ in me. Your problem is accepting the bible as historical fact and basing this world on making a world in the hereafter rather than making this world more abundant and enjoyable for all. You are so cocksure you are right when al you display is ignorance. If you dared to check you would find that the Apostle Paul was the bitter enemy of the Roman Christians and had no use for the Petrine doctrine. I have not only been revealed the Christ in me I have researched history to find out why I had been so easily fooled for so many years, and the Americans in general who even were not religious still believed this nonsense. Pauls writings were changed and incorporated in the Roman bible 200 years after his death.

Paul here is my brief description of the historical cult of Christolatry versus the spiritual Christ of the Apostle Paul. Our national religion is the fetishism of primitive man in the last stage of perversion. Eternal Cause is treated as if it were a weather vane at the summit of creation that might be forced to veer round at every breath of selfish prayer. The very existence of a God has been made dependent upon his personal manifestation in Judea; consequently he is non extant if not historical and a jew; those for whom the historical evidence fails, find themselves without a God in the world as the result of atheist teaching, and the poor jews have to suffer for the imposition that has been practised in their name. Equinoctial Christolatry boasts of having put and end to individual sacrifice; but it is compatible with the masses of toiling people being offered up forever in one great sacrifice. The other world has been held as a lure in front of that beast of burden, the Producer, in order that the scent of future food in another life might make him forego his right to grazing ground here in this world. The Christian cult has been made compatible with the state of society which shows more repulsive extremes of wealth and poverty, splendor and squalor than in any pre Christian world; in which the slayers of men still win the great rewards; in which intelligence may be legally turned to the chief account by taking advantage of the ignorant; and in which the standard of conscience is the status quo of things as they are, and not a test of the result of how things are. False believing is ever the worst enemy of true doing; and every Sunday the teaching of these legalized kidnappers of the children, for the compulsory innoculation of their minds with the old theological virus, tends to nullify the good done by education the other six days of the week. They want to have the childrens souls to pledge, That these shall only bear their kind of fruit. Who are but dead sticks in the living hedge, ROTTING FOR THE LACK OF ROOT!!!
