I have been a lurker to Mr. Pink's thread for a number of weeks now and like many I have profited from his timely picks. I also enjoy his sense of humor in these tense times. If you fellow followers don't mind I have an honor I'd like to bestow upon him. I designate Mr. Pink "LORD OF THE FLIES...." BTW is Mr. Pink a golfer ?

"They didn't fall because we shorted them, they fell because of bad fundamentals or bad management." Indeed. Shorts rarely have anything to do with a steep decline in any company's stock. Shorts are not interested in profitable, cash-rich, winning companies with stellar balance sheets and management of the highest integrity. Just as with students, some of whom never get anything but As and others who get a few Cs, and still others who can't seem to pass any class, for whatever reason, some companies are so patently incapable of turning a profit, often with management that is more obsessed with its stock price than it is with its business, that they scream out to be shorted. That is what's so great about having a real, genuine market. You get the feeling that people burned by p&d scams and by other assorted unsavory displays of junk are cheering on the Hong Kong government, which has just banned shorting outright. "It's the shorts!! THEY'RE why things are so rotten!!!"
