Hey I am suprised as many people as they have use them in the first place. But You sure seen to have a one track mind, when they were good they were good and when they are bad they are bad. That is okay. And yes there are a lot of quacks around, unlike bad car mechanics who have strong opinions, people who work on you are playing with YOU. Money managers or others who destroy your finaces and laywers who make sure you never recover, In YOUr case you might find it much much harder to fix yourself. Unlike movies where all doctors are out for the well being of others, In the real world we have quacks who just want to get rid of patients the fastest way possible and dont want to deal with all the unpleasentless of treatments. So MUSE is an unpleasent treatment, and so are a lot of others, But the patients are the ones who should decide that given the choices. And given that the human race is always progressing, archiach treatments will go the way of the dodo bird. But some people should change their professions to car mechanics where its much easier to excert your will on the unknowning and illeterate public.

Speaking of short positions holding up a share's
price as shorts, unwind their positions that doesn't
seem to be happening. Here is the net change in the
VVUS short position from the previous month:

June -624,113
July -1,854,997
Aug -861,056

There was a slight rise in price in July, but the drops
from May to June and July to August....well you know
the story.

Graphic of short interest:
