When I went off to college, I had my first checking account. EVery month, my mother put 35.00 on it. Every month, the bank called her and said, "Penni's overdrawn again", and she'd go down and cover it. When I came home for Christmas, she sat me down with the statements and tried to explain how it worked. I just looked at her blankly. It had seemed like such a great set-up to me. I just wrote these checks. Never realized someone had to pay for them.
When I got my first job and was responsible for my own everything, I just started every month with a new paycheck. At the end of the month, I started over again. Never balanced once. Never overdrew either. And had 600.00 extra when I closed it out.
You probably have cold chills thinking about me controlling all my husband's retirement funds.
