The question is how do foreign investors (particularly open ended funds) value their Malaysian equity holdings? If they can't get the money back for the next year should portfolios be valued at zero for the sake of prudence?

When I got in this morning the Malaysian stock market was up 30% (is this a record for a 1 day upward move?). The market has now bounced 80% in US$ terms from the recent low...

If only we could sell...
