Clark - The vodaphone quote comes from a post from a day or two ago. I think it is talking about two different things. The CDMA/GSM overlay is about CDMAOne overlayed on GSM not CDMA2000 on GSM.
My interpretation of Vodaphone's point is that QCOM is saying that there could be a converged CDMA2000 and W-CDMA but is complaining that one has not been proposed. I think QCOM's point would be that anything with the same chip rate as CDMAOne could probably converged though they have not proposed a designed version in full yet. I suspect it is a difference between concept and protoptype. Tom
