Nice way to spend the day! I got to go to the "orifice" [aka the office] and finish up a presentation for next Friday. Certainly can't expect to get work done at work this week ?!! Someone just posted a good reasoning of why the Fed has to be careful about lowering interest rates. If I didn't misunderstand the thrust - it's inflationary: the move +/- weakening of the dollar, causes actual substantial losses for foreign investors in bonds, who then pull out for more hospitable shores, leading to falling bond prices and rising rates. Regarding the market tomorrow: I'm not going to be short, and hope I can exit quickly with additional profit this week. If I can, I don't know whether to sit out the next 2-3 weeks, or grab the bull by the horns and short companies such as LU. Also don't know whether to hold or sell my Au stocks, especially if they run up some more tomorrow [It appears the NY Comex price of Au is up]. Heretofore, everytime the market has tanked big, Au has gone right along. Do you think this time will be different?
