Any short term rally would be based on a rate cut... If the FED comes across as only teasing the markets and doesn't cut rates, that will be the straw that breaks the market's back... Look at any short term rally as a favor to big investors to cut their losses before the curtain drops on this Bull market... Too much is going on in Latin America, Japan, Russia, etc., to exempt the U.S. from its negative earnings effect... I still view rallies as selling oppty's in the context of a beginning BEAR market...
