I too prefer ODIS to remain independent. I was simply making an observation based on what appears to be a significant strategic technology in the MSFT arsenal and a serious differentiator in MSFT's battle with RDBMS' who continue to offer the hybrid solution. As a MSFT product, ObjectStore would be EVERYWHERE --like Windows. Any takeout valuation would be based upon the value within the MSFT world versus any relationship to current levels. How much would it be worth for MSFT to be able to offer ODIS into every account, and introduce it everywhere they compete with ORCL, IFMX, SYBS, etc? The further the ODIS initiatives progress, the greater the offer will need to be. As an independent, I see the valuation spiking soon as the real potential begins to be recognized by the Street!
