Rick,

Let's talk about the 1 million shares in short position.

We know one fund is heavy on the short side........and obviously there are many others who make up the rest of the position.

With IDX now selling at a market cap equal to 1x this year's sales....in a universe (small cap) that must be close to bottom, in an industry that is out of favor and all being punished.........The question of "when to cover" must be entering into their minds.

If I shorted IDX at $10+..........I would be thinking about how much better it could possibly get.

Heck, NEC is selling a bunch of LS-21 machines on the west coast.....Ohio is buying more IDX, both live scan and bio-ID......F3 is on it's way to the market........perhaps with some associated partners. And there is the long anticipated O'Hare Airport Cargo pilot.

I guess it is the same old story....but I think IDX will turn higher soon.....and short covering will play a large part in the run.

I'm not sure what will kick it off.......but I do believe that the situation exists. One million shares in short position is very bullish. 10 tough days to cover.

bg

ps. Kieth, steve, Buck.......If the analysts loved IDX at $10.00......then they must want to almost have sex with it at $5.00.
