If it grows in the Brazilian portion of the Amazon jungle, (stevia) I figured it would grow in the Ecuadorian
portion of the Amazon jungle.

Even if the hybred plant is a little different, I would think that it could grow there too.
To me one jungle is the same as another, although to a plant it's probably not. (ha!)
(soil differences are the key, I think)

I also think you can purchase stevia plants mail order.
